I have hundreds of PDF files on a Windows 7 system. I would like to search these files based on the many Keywords I entered in the Metadata Keywords section of these PDFs. But when I enter one of these Keywords in a Windows Explorer Search (e.g., 'ancient history' which is contained in the Keywords section of the metadata in many of my PDFs) , none of the files containing the relevant Keywords appears in the results of the Search (I checked that that the file contents of PDF files have been indexed). What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for your help,
Charles Edelsburg

I also am looking for a solution to the above. Anyone please advise.
I have a folder on my network with several thousand PDFs.
Within these PDFs I have added "keywords" in the properties using Adobe Acrobat Pro.
I would like to search the documents by "keyword" ONLY.
I don't want the file names or file text searched.
Is this possible in Windows Explorer?

Hi,
If you're having problems locating specific files, folders, or other items on your computer, try using the Search and Indexing troubleshooter to fix the problem. It makes sure that the Windows Search service is running, and checks to see whether you have the correct permissions to search all the directories on your computer.
Method 1:
Run the troubleshooter provided in the link
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Open-the-Search-and-Indexing-troubleshooter
Method 2:
You can also add the file type that's not currently recognized by the index, to the index so you can search in Windows by that file type.
