I have creative inspire t6160 5.1 speakers, i don't have sound card. The thing is that only 2 speakers are working while i am testing the 5.1ch speaker system. I had all ready done the setting the speaker fill. I have INTEL 2120 processor with gigabyte motherboad...Pl reply

From other post:

bought assemble system last week only. below are the configuration

Processor : Intel I3 2120

Motherboard : Gigabyte H61M-S2P-B3 REV1.0

AUDIO : VIA audio driver

OS : Windows 7 professional 64bit

I am using onboard sound & creative inspire t6160 5.1 speakers system. I tried with latest versions of drivers also.

Problem i faced : When i am connecting 5.1 system to my pc it is sensing all the inputs. But while I am testing all speakers in control panel>sound>plaback>spekers>configure>test. only R & L speakers are giving me sound others are not.

I had checked all the speakers individually, found all are working.

    Hello,

Set up your speaker’s configuration and see if it helps.

    a. Open Audio Devices and Sound Themes by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Sound

    b. Click the Playback tab, select Speakers, and then click Configure.c. Under Audio Channels, select 5.1 Surround and click Test. You should hear a tone play in each speaker

    d. Click Next, and then follow the directions to continue the configuration process.

What model Gigabyte motherboard do you have? There is usually a setting in Windows' Control Panel that is associated to your sound system that allows you to change the settings for your sound card (assuming there's one built-in to the MB). This usually involves changing the microphone and line-in jacks to center channel and satellite speakers, for example (your MB may be different).

    Then your PC/Laptop isn't 5:1 complaint.

5:1 doesn't depend on the info you give its what you haven't given that counts.Such as :

What is your PC/Laptop make, name and model number ?

Do you have an audio device or do you use on-board sound ?

Have you recently up-graded to W7 (from Vista or from XP) ?

Is this an on-going problem or recent ?

If recent, what have you installed (software) or changed (hardware) prior to this happening ?

I suggest you re post !

    Cheers,

    jerry
