Windows 7 driver for Texas Instruments PCIxx12 Integrated FlashMedia Controller.

I am planning to upgrade from Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 on my Sony Vaio VGN-AR61M.  I ran the Windows 7 Upgrade Adviser Beta, which showed that everything was OK except for the following:

"Texas Instruments PCIxx12 Integrated FlashMedia Controller.  An update is required to make this device compatible with Windows 7. Go online to get the latest driver from the manufacturer's website."

I have tried to find an updated driver from the Texas Instruments website, but have failed to find one, either there or elsewhere online.  Does anyone have any idea where I might find this, please?  The current driver is Version 2.0.0.18.

Hi

If this is an integrated device, the best place to get the drivers would be Sony.

Go to the following website, enter the model number of the Vaio and click Continue. This should take you to the page where you can download the drivers for all of the installed devices.

Sony eSupport - Electronics - Main Page

Thank You for using Windows 7

I found a driver here.  It is for Win XP but it is working in my Sony Vaio with Win 7 atm.

    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=1847962&prodNameId=1849071&swEnvOID=1059&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ob-70996-1

It happened the same to me and after a restart the card reader is functioning properly.

    Hope it helps.

You certainly saved my life, man. It worked!

    Thank you very much!

    E.
