    Hi,

    1. Are you able to connect to the internet using Internet Explorer  and other Applications?
    2. Were you able to get the program to connect to the Internet earlier?
    3. May I know the exact error message you are getting when the Internet Connection fails with the program?
    4. Which Anti-virus are you using?

Step 1: Lets disable Anti-virus program to check if its conflicting with the program.

Note:Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you're connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

If the issue is fixed by disabling the anti-virus Software, then contact the Anti-virus Vendor for further assistance regarding this issue."

    Step 2:

Open a port in Windows Firewall

If the issue still persists, then contact Family tree support at the link below:

    Hope it helps

Looks like Family Tree Maker 2014 is no longer supported. Those who purchased it, simply lost their ability to sync with Ancestry...

    Sucks.

It looks like we must buy or upgrade to 2017 in order to connect if you have the ancestry version like I do:

FTM wants to sell the new version "2017".  Several options have been discontinued for older versions including internet "search".  Take a look at the "FamilyTreeMaker.com" website for more info.
