Okay - I have now installed the PS/2 drivers as suggested - what next please ?
David
Just to be sure - you have a PS/2 type keyboard and you are *not* using any adapters to make it plug into the computer via a USB port, correct? It actually plugs into a PS/2 port?
Technically - if it was going to work - it should have worked as soon as you installed the drivers. I don't think they were ever 'programmable' - not without hacking the registry a bit.
Might read this article...

And note these registry entries/this area in the registry:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AppKey]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AppKey\15]
"Association"="mailto"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AppKey\16]
"Association"=".cda"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AppKey\17]
"ShellExecute"="::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AppKey\18]
"ShellExecute"="calc.exe"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AppKey\7]
"Association"="http"
Perhaps with a little persistence (looking at the right plac ein the registry and putting in a few creative entries) you can get them working again. :-(
Sorry I couldn't find more - it's harder to help with some things when you cannot try them out yourself. heh
