    Hi,

You can also install TCP/IP networking through local area connection properties.

    To install Simple TCP/IP Services

    http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/sag_tcpip_pro_simptcpinstall.mspx?mfr=true

    Also refer:

    Installing networking services (TCP/IP)

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd163569.aspx?lc=1033

Refer the section under Installing networking services (TCP/IP)

Hope this helps and keep us posted.

This did not help. I NEED the TCP/IP version 4 to make the TCP/IP version 6 work. I do not have the v4, so without it, changing how the TCP/IP starts is a non point. My question asked how I can get the v4. It is unknown how it was removed, and technically, should not have been able to BE removed (so said the tech I talked to). Thanks for trying though.

    Try run,type: services.msc

In msc, scroll down to TCP/IP   double click on it,reset the option to

start auto, from manual its probably in,start service, exit msc.
