Vista shortcut arrow overlay remover fix, will not work in Windows 7.  Anyone know of a fix?

Were you using one of these tutorials ?

Shortcut Arrow - Change, Remove, or Restore

    http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3606-shortcut-arrow-change-remove-restore.html

    http://www.winhelponline.com/articles/153/1/How-to-remove-or-modify-the-Shortcut-overlay-in-Windows-7-and-Vista.html

    Warning :

Removing the shortcut arrow will make it harder to tell which files are shortcuts or not.

If you also put actual files on desktop, you run the danger of deleting an actual file instead of a shortcut.

A deleted shortcut can be re-created, a deleted actual file cannot.
