Problems with Epson printer/software and device drivers

Why does Epson use my print cartridges and my software to their means and then solicit me to buy their product through my internet connection and then disable my device drivers at their whim when I don't buy any products from them?

Why is this?

    Hi Larry,

We cannot account for what you claim Epson is doing.  This sound more like an installation or terms of use or possibly a driver problem that needs updating problem rather than an infection (or maliciousness beyond what I'd expect from such a large professional company which, if true, would be on the front pages of every major newspaper in the world).

    Good luck!

Probably because you have your Epson printer connected to your PC and it is trying to install the drivers.

If you do not want the Epson printer, unplug it from your PC and remove all Epson programs and delete the printer.

No, no, no, I have printed several documents until the ink depleted and went through the printer setup just fine and then there was a popup advertisement to buy ink jet cartridges and then when I selected "No" the whole thing went berserk.

Why is it that when I go into "uninstall a program" and click on the Epson driver and restart Windows, something called "Epson ESC/P-R" gets loaded in it's place without asking me first? As far as I know, all executables notify you when they about to install first!
