Realtek HD Audio Manager keeps popping up.Cant disable it.

This program associate with Gigabyte Technology keeps popping up in the task bar and new  pop up on screen.

Have dried disableing it in regedit and closing file with no luck.

Any ideas?

    From memory you should be able to disable the tray icon from within the Realtek HD audio manager.

    The other option is to completely un-install the Realtek software from Programs and Features, and manually install the driver only using Device manager, and manually pointing to the driver directory (usually a subfolder in the extracted realtek setup)

    This is how i've always done it anyways, as I find the Realtek software a bit useless when all i really need is basic playback.

    Assuming you have a gigabyte motherboard its probably from a gigabyte utility.

    You've checked Programs & features and msconfig?

    Upper right corner - yellow folder sign - uncheck both options

    I don't want to uninstall it, it enhances your audio, you can just disable it in the program, it's not the gear icon on the top left that you have to press, but the small wrench on the bottom right (I missed it too).
