How to troubleshoot problems when you install or uninstall programs on a Windows-based computer
short answer: run the DVD@ccess Install program a second time. It will uninstall the program.
detailed answer:
Had the same problem as mentioned in previous post. I'm using a Win 7 machine.
After I installed DVD@ccess from a DVD in order to use links on that DVD, I discovered the Program wouldn't work on this OS.
Windows Uninstall, found in Control Panel, returned the same error mentioned in previous post.
Found that running the DVD@ccess Install program a second time actually uninstalls the program. All the progress messages are uninstall messages one would expect to see with a confirmation that the program was uninstalled successfully.
Hope this helps.
OK, I didn't realize my screen snip wasn't going to display when I posted. The error dialog box that you can't see an image of is labeled "Severe", and the text says:
Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 3, Windows 2000, or Windows XP is required to run DVD@ccess.
Setup will now exit.
I have the same problem as the original poster. Using Uninstall/Change option from Control Panel, it starts the process (i.e., I see a dialog box open up saying "DVD@ccss is preparing the InstallShield Wizard"), but that quickly closes and I get this error dialog box:
The DVD@ccess program is not uninstalled, and at next bootup there will be an error because it can't find the appropriate files to be able to load. How can I just uninstall this?
