Hi nicoleWF,
Thanks for posting in Microsoft Communities. Provide the following information:
· Have you made any changes on the computer prior to the issue?
· What is the make and model of the computer?
· When exactly the screen is jumping?
Follow these methods.
Follow these steps to unlock the touchpad.
a) Locate the function key on the keyboard (F1 through F12) that has an icon of a touchpad.
b) Press and hold the "Fn" key, usually found in the lower left area of the keyboard.
c) Press the touchpad function key and then release both keys. If this does not enable the touchpad, try holding the "Fn" key down and pressing the touchpad function key twice in a row.
For the screen jumping issue:
Method 1: Follow the steps from the article to change mouse settings and check.
Method 2: perform a **Clean Boot** to see if there is any software conflict as clean boot helps to eliminate software conflicts.
Note: After performing the troubleshooting steps in clean boot, follow Step 7 from the link to return the computer to Normal startup mode.
Let us know if you need further assistance. We will be happy to help you.
Thanks.
