    1.     Adjust the pen and touch settings in the Control Panel:

    ·         Swipe in from the right edge and tap Search.  Type Control Panel and tap on the search result.

    ·         Tap Hardware and Sound.

    ·         Tap Pen and Touch.

Depending on your device, you may see a variety of tabs, such as Pen Options, Flicks, or Touch.  You can adjust the sensitivity of your touch device by adjusting sliders located in these tabs.  For example, to adjust the sensitivity of a double-tap on your touch device, on the Touch tab, tap Double-tap, and then tap Settings.  Drag the sliders to change the sensitivity.  You can test your new settings by double-tapping the graphic at the bottom of window.

    2.     Calibrate the touch display:

    ·         From the Start screen, type Calibrate.

    ·         Tap Settings, and then Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input.

    ·         Tap the Calibrate button, and follow the tool’s instructions.

    3.     Cleaning the screen can improve touch sensitivity.  Most PC manufacturers recommend turning off the PC and using a microfiber cloth, available at most electronic stores.

Any barriers between your fingers and the display, including gloves, a protective case, sheet or film, or even water or lotion on your hands, can also impair touch sensitivity.  If any of these conditions apply to you, try testing the device without such conditions.

There are no solutions here for adjusting the tap/click sensitivity. The built in Windows driver simply has no sensitivity options. Please add one. Thanks.

I did this calibration exercise, but does that help with touch sensitivity?  My issue is that when i scroll through news stories in News App (Windows 10), it opens stories all the time that i didnt want to open. It is too sensitive to the touch.  Does calibrate fix that??  I guess i will find out.  Should be more difficult to open things or launch things. Wayyy too sensitive. Should have to press to open and scrolling lightly shouldnt open things.

ALso, press and hold under the Pen and Touch only has options to change how the right click gets activated. It doesnt have anything that changes sensitivity of when u want to touch and open something. So that doesnt help me.  WHere do we change the sensitivity to open things?????? That is the question.  I dont care about the right clicking..just opening.  I want it to be less sensitive and not open stories accidentally. Please provide that solution for that specific problem. Thanks.

I am also having this issue and  control panel does not have the "Pen and Touch" option. The closest option is simply "mouse" and I cannot find any adjustments there. I have resorted to using an external mouse for now but that is difficult for portability. I have been making sure that I am using a single finger on the touchpad of my asus x501a laptop to prevent any unintentional gestures but the touchpad seems to have a life of its on and menus and apps keep opening and closing on their own.

Additionally, the cursor frequently "slides" off of the location I point it to. Thanks.

Hi. My control panel does not have the "Pen and Touch" option. The closest option is simply "mouse" and I cannot find any adjustments there. My real problem is that the click button seems to have a life of its on and apps keep just opening up.

Additionally, the cursor seems to move a bit sloppily and sometimes "slides" off of the location I point it to. Thanks.
