what is your phone number for technical support?????

I DO NOT WANT TO BUY A PHONE FROM YOU!!!  I AM TRYING TO GET YOUR PHONE NUMBER!!!

YOU REALLY HAVE DUMB PEOPLE WORKING FOR YOU WHO SET UP THIS WEBSITE!!!  YOU'RE NOT GETTING

WHAT YOU PAY FOR AND NEITHER AM I???  THE WHOLE WORLD HAS GONE TO THIS NON-PERSONAL, NON-PROFESSIONAL, & NON-WORKING SYSTEM OF "ASK QUESTION HERE", AND GET WRONG ANSWER OR NO ANSWER!

All I wanted was a human being on the phone that I can understand who doesn't live in India or China!!!  Whatever happened

to "AMERICANS" filling America's jobs????  All of those good principles have been flushed down the toilet!  You cannot understand

one word coming out of your employee's mouths and they cannot understand us, the customer!  Let me guess.  You save money by

shipping our jobs overseas and elsewhere so you don't have to pay "workman's comp, and higher wages, taxes, etc. etc.

Well, let me be the first to say that your "system" is NOT WORKING!!!

All I wanted to do was download your free "Virus protection package for Windows 7 Home Premium"!!  And this is what I have to go

through!!!  This feels like someone pulling my teeth with NO NOVOCAINE!!!  You can't even give me the phone number on your website!!!  You give 1-800-MICROSOFT.  I can't dial letters, duh!!!

I have a nice phone which doesn't have the "old" number and alpha" characters spread across 9 numbers!!!  Each of my keys has

a separate alpha character and/or symbol!  Duh!!!  Could you get with the 20th Century here in technology?  Besides, most companies who want my business, don't make it impossible to find them or their phone number for support!!!  They actually "give us" the full number for support.  hello

Earth to Microsoft! Since your virus protection is free, why won't you make it work??  It told me to contact you!!!  Ha!!!

I don't see that happening!!!

This is a peer supported forum and we don't work for Microsoft.  We're users who volunteer to assist others with problems. Instead of ranting and raving on this forum you could have asked for assistance.

But you preferred a different approach so here's the information you requested:

I wonder if BrendaNelson826 will send you guys a polite apology?

I participate in a number of forums on different products and have nothing but praise for the free-help time and effort put in by unpaid volunteers. I don't know of any forums where the helpers are paid for their services.

You don't deserve to be ranted at ... cummon Brenda, lets hear it!

Let's think about this... You want to call tech support for help with installing free software. Do you have any clue what the cost for that is?

You are welcome to *pay* to speak to a technician to fix your computer issues. Microsoft sponsors this service: http://www.answerdesk.com/

Or calm down and explain your specific issue and get some assistance from helpful volunteers.

    Hi Brenda,

My response to your direct email was sent moments ago.  If you elect to pursue help here, you can either reply as suggested with what was suggested OR you can choose to start a new thread dealing with your issue and providing that same information.

    Good luck!

    Kosh

<EDIT:  Based on your reply to my offline response (which said what Steve just noted, but in much greater detail in an attempt to explain and help), rest assured I will most certainly never contact or reply to you ever again anywhere if I recognize you as being you.>
