Roger,
I am glad to hear that.
Just to let you know, that often is the case with monitors.
They will the "default' setting, but still have the correct driver.

This monitor works great but is detected by device manager as "Generic PNP Monitor". My video card detects it properly. I am running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. It also shows as Asus VS247 in Devices and Printers. I have checked Asus support and they don't have a monitor driver.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

My concern was warranty. It is a new monitor and if it wasn't being detected properly, I would have returned it.
Asus finally confirmed that it is working as it should be.

Do you just set around running your mouth instead of trying to be helpful?
Uh, wow...that quickly got off on the wrong foot!
I think what Sanwin2 means by that line of questioning is:
So what are you trying to work out?

You say it works great and the video card detects it properly, so what is your actual problem? If it is working it matters little what device manager calls it.
