    Hi,

You can refer to the following article to know about the Gadgets and its use in Windows 7.

    Gadgets

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/products/features/gadgets

You can also download additional Gadgets from the following link.

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/downloads/personalize/gadgets

    Disclaimers:

    • Some of these gadgets are third-party applications, not developed by Microsoft and its partners. Gadgets can access your computer's files, show you objectionable content, or change their behavior at any time. Only download gadgets from developers you trust. Microsoft is not responsible for the performance or reliability of non-Microsoft gadgets.
    • Some gadgets are optimized for Windows Vista and might not provide the same experience if installed on Windows 7. Some gadgets (such as those using High DPI) only work on computers running Windows 7.

    Hope this helps.

Use to be a ton 3ed party gadgets to pick from. Now you only have about 10 of them to pick from. I understand what Microsoft is doing and trying to look more into Windows 8. Why cant they still offer the full lists of gadgets because they still do have two OS that uses them? Why not come out with a update that deletes the gadget platform because  now it is just a waste and waste of cpu usage ? I also find it so wrong that of Microsoft's biggest selling point for Windows 7 was the Desktop Gadgets and now they took them all a way. I really want to download a  Piano gadget good thing they keepet that one and dumped all the good ones.
