Sticky Keys/Filter keys not working

I've been having propblems for the last few weeks with the keyboard acting erratically as if the SHIFT key was always on. Previously I was able to get it working with a seemingly random comnation of keys. In the past I tried all the solutions recommended in the community but nothing works. For instance, I tried to change the sticky keys and filter keys in the Ease of access but it made no difference. I've now deleted the Accsessibilty section in the registry and on boot up, windows asks me if I want filter keys switched on, I type in no, but it doesn't solve the problem. My computer is not really usable at the moment with SHIFT always on. Any help would be much appreciated. regards

I've tried switching on the filter keys and the sticky keys, but it appears that the left SHIFT key is always on. Occasionally I can alter the Filter keys to get it to work but the keyboard then doesn't work until the Bounce keys don't work. I wonder if I should post my query in another forum. My computer is unusable at the moment with this problem.
