I keep getting a message on my computer indicating that Windows needs to install driver software for my Samsung TV DMR.  However, when I select the recommended install option I get another message informing me that "Device driver software was not successfully installed.  Please consult with your device manufactor for assistance getting this device installed.  Samsung TVDMR-Device unplugged.  Why am I getting this message and what exactly does it mean?  While I purchased a Smart TV in October I did not receive any disc to use on my computer.  How can I resolve this issue because I don't have a clue, Samsung does not, nor Best Buy Geek Squad?  My operating system is Windows Vista, 32bit.

    Hi Delo,

I see that you are unable to install the driver for Samsung TV DMR. I will help you with this issue.

1.What is the make and model of the computer?

2.Which security software is installed on the computer?

3.Did you make any changes to the computer recently?

4.When exactly do you get the message to reinstall the driver?

    Method 1.

Kindly run the troubleshooter from this article and check: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Troubleshoot-monitor-and-video-card-problems

    Method 2.

    Method 3.

If you face any issues while installing the driver, then boot the computer in clean boot and then try to install.

A clean boot helps to verify if any third party application service or startup item is causing this issue.
