Hi there,
I'm in the process of installing the beta trial of Exchange2013 on a Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 (64-Bit) lab environment (in a test domain - NOT on a DC).
The server is fully updated and I'm following the pre-requisites KB > http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb691354%28EXCHG.150%29.aspx < and I'm having a major problem with the last step which is to install KB2533623.
I've been through Programs to verify that it's not already installed, it's not.
So I've downloaded the KB from here - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2533623 - but no matter which version of the x64 installer I use (obviously I'm downloading the WinSer2008R2x64 from here > http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=26755 < first) I get an error on my server from the Windows Update Standalone Installer which says "The update is not applicable to your computer".
Considering this is a pre-requisite of my install, and I'm actually getting errors when I try to install the MBX role for 2013 which forum threads such as this one > http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangeserverpreview/thread/8ae4509c-e671-402b-943c-d447fec7fd42 < seem to think is related to this KB which I cannot install. As you can imagine I'm pretty stuck.
Can anyone help?, is there perhaps a problem with the Windows6.1-KB2533623-x64 installer?, can anyone provide me with a download to one that works on WinSer2008R2SP1?
Any help greatly appreciated!
