Microsoft Games.patcher.1.2-patch.exe won't run om my Widows 8 computer.

And of course the answer is no they didn't include them in 8.1!!!

But did he?  it doesn't seem so, and I am desperate to get my windows 7 spider solitaire back on the rubbishy Windows 8

Here are a few steps which you can follow.

Method 1:

Run the Program Compatibility Troubleshooter refer:

Method 2:

Try to install the game in Windows 7 compatibility mode?

1. right click on the setup file of the game which you want to install.
2. Select Properties
3. Select “Compatibility” Tab.
4. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select Windows 7 from the drop down list.
5. Select ok.

There was a file circulating a while back which installed the Windows 7 versions, but there were requests to remove the file form download sites, and it is no longer available.

Maybe Windows 8.1 will contain them.. :-)
