winbond cir transceiver- windows cannot start the driver

Highlighted in device manager by a ! 

Looked on Winbond web site for Windows 8 Driver None Found

Looked on Nuvotone web site for Windows 8 Driver None Found 

Below is current driver installation package

CIR Microsoft(R) Windows(R)-Based Driver installation package for  

Nuvotone  WPC8769L and WPCE775C/F Notebook Embedded Controllers

(henceforth referred to as "EC") Release Letter

Version:  8.60.1000

Date:     July 2009

This device is located on Intel(R) ICH9M LPC Interface Controller - 2919

Does Microsoft have a suitable driver for this HID as Microsoft Update does not.

    Tried installing driver under Windows 7 using compatibility mode, unfortunately it did not work

    as the Nuvotone CIR Transceiver is still showing ! mark in device manager.

    It looks that you would like to get a driver for Winbond cir for Windows 8.

    You need to check for the compatibility of any device or application before you install in Windows 8. The link given below is the link to check the compatibility.

    Winbond cir is not compatible with Windows 8. You have to check for the drivers of this device from the manufacturer’s website for any other version of Windows and install it in compatibility mode.
