Audio issues due to intel 915GM CHIPSET driver.

I tried by going on intel website but coudnt  find anything.Also when i start my pc i and play  any music or anything which requires sound,everything works fine for 30 mins but then idont hear any sound,i tried trouble shooting it but didnt worked.PLEASE HELP!!THANKS IN ADVANCE

    My computer had INTEL 915GM/910ML/915MS GRAPH.I had already tried going to intel site and downloading video controller driver but got nothing and

    also tried updating driver in device manager and through automatic update.It shows that the driver was found but OS version was not supported.

    Thank you very much for answering my question. I had already tried going to intel site and downloading video controller driver but got nothing .I had also tried downloading audio trouble shooter from Microsoft Earlier but it didn't  worked. My computer had INTEL 915GM/910ML/915MS GRAPH . Please let me know If you can find anything . My  computer is of NEC .Its model number is LA700DD

    1. Do you get any error message?
    2. What is the make and model number of the computer?

    For issues with sound

    Run Audio Troubleshooter

    a) Press the ‘Windows + W’ key on the keyboard.

    b) Type troubleshooter in the search box and then press enter.

    c) Click hardware and sound and click on ‘Playing Audio’.

    I tried this . But setup says that an error has occurred and the setup needs to exit.

    Hi Udit,

    Thank you for posting your question in Microsoft Community.

    I understand that you are unable to find chipset drivers for Windows 8. Correct me if I am wrong.

    I can imagine the inconvenience you have experienced.

    You can install the chipeset drivers in compatibility mode.

    Follow these steps:

    a)   Press the ‘Windows + W’ key on the keyboard.

    b)   Type compatibility in the search box and then press enter.

    c)   Click “Run programs made for previous versions of Windows” option from the list appeared in the left side.

    d)   Select the drivers and install.
