The open bracket key does not work on my keyboard.

The open bracket key does not work on my keyboard.  It is strange as the 9 key works, as does the shift key, so why not together to make the bracket?  I have tried another keyboard, and this works fine.  Previously the 'c' and the 'v' buttons weren't working, but these are okay now.  Can you please tell me why?  It is very frustrating.

    Your keyboard may be dirty or damaged since another works ok.

    What model? How old?

    Hi JeanetteDenham,

    Were you able to resolve the issue you had?  I have exactly the same problem - MS Curve 2000 that works 100% including Shift and 9 keys but open bracket <Shift+9> does not.  Would be a shame to have to replace it over this.

    I am having this same issue and I did test in the on-screen keyboard. Works fine with that.

    I Hope Someone has come up with a solution to This Problem. efore today my Keyboard was ok & Now i cannot use shift + 9 or 0    brackets

    i havent installed anything or updated anything    so i cant see WHY i cannot use brackets...

    what is to blame?

    HI there

    It is only 18 months old.  Not dirty and not sure how it could be damaged seeing as the 9 works, but when I press shift for the bracket - alternate key function - it doesn't.

    The keyboard is a Microsoft Comfort Curve 2000.
