Original Title:solitaire help

I just got a new comp with windows 8 :-P  its sooo different.  I like the solitaire collection but I prefer to play it on my desk top in the small window config.  Any way to move it to my desktop or does it have to be a full screen app.  I don't like it, my monitor is too big.

Microsoft has removed those games from Windows 8 by design. But these can be downloaded and installed from here:  http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/33814-Microsoft-Games-for-Windows-8.  They install flawlessly and run the same as on Win 7. Hope this helps and if you have any other issues or questions post and we will be glad to help you solve them

Tadasha,  so first...NO I was not necessarily asking for solitaire from windows 7,  I was asking if I could move  the existing solitaire to my desktop and play it there in a small windowed format because I like it, just not in the that HUGE app form.  I gather the answer to that is NO.  So I guess the windows 7 solitaire would do but  you are unclear as to whether I can download it to my windows 8 desktop.  Also I live in a rural area and my internet is not very fast and sometimes not reliable so I prefer to download things to my computer so they are not internet dependant.   Microsoft must remember that there are many people in the world who can't get high speed everything yet.

    Hi Annethedrummer,

Thank you for choosing Windows 8 and we are happy to help you.

From your description, I understand you want the older version of solitaire that we have in Windows 7.

I would like to inform you that as we have upgraded the Operating System, the interface has also been changed. Microsoft has introduced something new to make the game more user friendly. But if you don’t like it, then you can play online solitaire game.

Hope this information helps. For any Windows related issues get back to us any time.
