Counter-Strike 1.6 is not working in windows 8 32 bit-x64 based processor

As per the description provided, it looks like facing an issue with Counter Strike on windows 8 operating system.

We are unable to find any results for Counter Strike for Windows 8 Compatibility Center.

I would suggest you to uninstall Counter Strike completely and install the game in compatible mode and check if it helps.

a. Right click on the setup file and select Properties.

b. Click the compatibility tab, tick the box next to Run this program in compatibility mode for and select Windows.

Note: If the issue still persist, then I would suggest you to contact the game manufactures support and check if they have released any new update pack for Counter Strike.

Problem :

I cant run my multiplayer game counter-strike 1.6 since its working on protocol 47...and not working in new version protocol 48 ( neccessary for playing online as Ultra Core Protector Anti-cheat only supports protocol 48)...its not launching the application .... "WITHOUT GIVING ANY ERRORS"....its not proccessing the application...i even don't get any error on my screen...i tried everything like 'run as administrator' or changing the compatibility....i really need help urgent. !!!!!

No errors nothing....just cant understand the situation.!!!!

Processor : Core i5 460m 2.53 ghz

Hard disk Memory : 500 GB

I am having same problem .. It works without UCP-Anti-Cheat. But when patched with UCP-Anti-Cheat .. It doesn't work .. Doesn't give any Errors What so Ever .. I tried the compatibility Modes and different Counter Strike 1.6 Installations ..

i am having the same problem but i can't open counter strike 1.6 steam, only non-steam from Digital Zone :@
