Hi,
Do you have a USB Keyboard or Mouse?
It is possible that you have a internal device running off an internal USB connection as well....
You might try going to Advanced Power Options and disabling "Allow Wake Timers" and see it it helps.
Also, check your BIOS for options that may wake your machine...my motherboard has multiple.
Try searching through your registry for the "4&51ffa7f&0" vcalue and see if anything comes up.
I do not have a USB Mouse or keyboard. The computer this is occurring on is an Alienware laptop when I'm hitting the "FN + F1" button combination on the internal keyboard. I stumbled across this post(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972664?wa=wsignin1.0) that seems to echo your thoughts, though it doesn't really propose a solution regarding their first workaround, since the keyboard this issue is occurring on is an internal keyboard.
Wake timers have been disabled since this issue started. Searching the registry for that value yields a registry entry under HKLM\System\ControlSet001\Controll\DeviceClasses{f18a0e88-c30c-11d0-8815-00a0c906bed8}. In this entry, there are folders with 2 USB Root Hubs, one listed as "##?#USB#ROOT_HUB20#4&51ffa7f&0#{f18a0e88-c30c-11d0-8815-00a0c906bed8}". In this are two registry values as follows:
- (Default) REG_SZ (value not set)
- DeviceInstance REG_SZ (USB\ROOT_HUB20\4&51ffa7f&0)
I'll double-check my BIOS and get back to you, but I don't remember any keyboard settings in my BIOS. Dell locked down a number more advanced features that you get on custom-built systems. UPDATE: Checked my BIOS and Allow USB To Wake Device is also disabled.
