Message.."Hardware ID Missing  Windows cannot identify the device plugged into the Samsung Mobile USB Composite Device"  appears when trying to sync my Samsung Galaxy S3 with either Kies or Media Center.  Have re-installed Samsung Kies with no change. Any suggestions?

    Hi Hof,

Thank you for reverting back and let us know the status of the issue.

Since it is getting recognized on another Windows 7 computer then the issue is with this computer drives.

I would suggest you to download and install all the latest drives and update the chipset drive from the manufactures website.

Note: After installing the latest drives and chipset drive I would recommend you to install the Samsung drivers and check if it helps.

I am running Windows 7.  I connected the phone to a different computer (also running Windows 7) and got mixed results.  The computer indicated it saw the S3, but Multi Media would not recognize the phone.  I did not get the "Hardware ID Missing" message on the second computer. The saga continues.

To answer your questions: 1) Windows version 6.1 and 2) There have been no known changes to the computer.

I ran method 1 and method 2 and the issue persisted after each run.  I used all six available USB ports and the "Hardware ID Missing" message continued to appear.  Your contunued support will be appreciated.
