    Hi,

Thank you for giving us an opportunity to assist you with this issue.

It looks that, you get an error 0000 when you go to desktop after you turn on the computer.

Let me ask you few questions.

    1. What is the complete/exact error message?
    2. When do you get this error? Do you get this error while performing anything?

Please provide us the summary of Event Viewer log. Please follow the steps given.

    a) Press Windows Key + X key on desktop.

    b) Press Event Viewer.

To get to event viewer in Windows 8:

In the left pane, expand out Windows Logs.

Click on Application log. Highlight the first event in the log and use your arrow keys to scroll down. Most of your event will be Information. You may see Yellow Warnings or Red Errors. If you see an red error, you can double click on it to bring it up and copy the contents to a document.

Please follow the troubleshooting methods given here.

Method 1: Disconnect additional Hardware and check for the error.

Disconnect any external devices connected to the computer except the keyboard and the mouse and restart your computer. Now check for the error.

If the issue still persists then please move to next method.

Method 2: Place the computer in Safe mode and if the issue does not occur place the computer in Clean Boot and check for the issue.

    Step 1: Safe mode.

With the Windows Startup Settings screen (formerly advanced boot options) you can start Windows in different advanced troubleshooting modes so you can find and fix problems on your PC.

Please follow the steps given in the link below to place your computer in safe mode.

If the issue gets resolved move to next step.

    Step 2: Clean Boot.

Perform a clean boot to check if any third party application is causing the issue, as clean boot helps in eliminating software conflicts. Follow these steps given in the link below to start the computer in clean boot.

Note: After you are done with all the steps perform Step 3 to Reset the computer to start as usual.

I would suggest you to please go ahead and send us a screen shot of the error message if the issue still persists. You can refer the following link to send the screenshot.

I hope this resolves your issue, please write to us if you have any other Windows related issue.
