    Hi,

As I understand you need information about the “BCM20702A0”. Not to worry, I am here to help you with this issue.

It is a model number of Bluetooth Broadcom product. I would suggest you to check for the drivers in Broadcom website and install it. You are getting unknown device notification due to no drivers present on your computer.

If the steps did not work, then please reply with the status of the issue so that we could help you in better way.

The Broadcomm Bluetooth operating system is misisng and needs to be downloaded first, then the driver.

Dell had it as part of the driver download pop-up window called "extract' that loaded 3 file, one being an '.exe.' file that was the Broadcom OS. I ran it and it loaded and my Bluetooth finally appeared in my device folder. I ran the driver next o be sure I had the latest and everything working fine.

Here is the Broadcomm webpage that has the OS for downloading. Do this then the drivers.

It refers to the chipset or model of a Broadcom Bluetooth adapter/Dongle.

Drivers for the bcm20702a0 can be found here http://www.driverscape.com/download/bcm20702a0

once I downloaded the driver though I had issues running through the standard install procedure. the install failed telling me my operating system was not compatible with the software.

I resolved the problem by opening the device manager and right clicking on the Bluetooth adapter, once I right clicked and had the context menu open I clicked on update driver software. updating driver software has 2 options.

-search the internet for device drivers/software

    -locate drivers/software on your computer

searching the internet for the drivers option did not work.

so instead I chose the option to locate drivers on my computer and chose the folder for the drivers I downloaded from the link above

installing the drivers from the download link via the device manager and browsing on my computer for the download was successful and the Bluetooth adapter worked fine in the end.

    Note.

the Bluetooth adapter was plugged into my computer when I went through the steps written above

I was using a windows 7 ultimate 64-bit operating system

No problems. to update the bcm20702a0 driver with a driver version that fits your exact OS, go to http://semantic.gs/bcm20702a0\_driver\_download and download the bcm20702a0 driver pack (not forgetting to specify your OS - from Win 7 to Win 10). Proceed to install the files.

    Profit.
