Hello guys. It's been around 3-4 months now that I've tried to find a solution for this problem. I wanne do a recovery on my Acer Aspire 5553G, but I'm getting this error:  hdd recovery validation failed, press any key to continue .

This error appears when I have restarted computer and I am trying to enter the erecovery management program when I am restarting pc. When I turn on pc I press ALT+F10 which I think is called the Cache command or something.

Questions you might ask:

Have I gone into bios and turned recovery on? Yes.

Have I tried to reinstall using a disc? I didn't get the disc, when I bought the computer.

Did I make a back-up recovery disc when I first got the computer? No, because I was 12 and didn't know a lot about computers and this was my first. So I didn't "posses" this kind of knowledge.

I hope I find a solution for this problem and thanks in presence to those who answer and try to help

Regards,

Wali

I've asked everywhere. That's why I hoped someone in here knew the answer... Could you give me link to acer helpdesk?

    Type the words

    Acer helpdesk

into a Google search box to get some good links.

The Factory Restore process is proprietary to Acer. It is not a Windows facility. If it does not work then you have two options:

    • Ask the Acer helpdesk for advice.
    • Order a Factory Restore DVD from Acer. There might be a handling charge.
