- Is this issue confined to .Net Framework update?
- Which antivirus application are you using?
- Have you made any changes to the computer prior to this issue?
I would suggest you to try the following methods and check the issue status.
Method 1:
Windows Update error 0x80072efd.

Keep the computer in a clean boot status, install the update and check the issue status.
