    Hi DonMcAuley,

    If you are referring to the default text size of your instant messages when sending it using Messenger client. You can change it by following these steps:

    1. Open Messenger client and sign in using your account.
    2. On the program window open a chat window to any of your contacts that are available.
    3. Once you have opened a conversation window to one of your contacts, please click the Tools option found on the action bar of the conversation window beside Help option *(In case the action bar is hidden, just simply press the ALT key on your keyboard to unhide it.),*and click the Text size.. option to customize your current text font.
    4. After customizing it, click OK button to save the changes.

    In Internet explorer you can use these shortcuts.  Other browsers are similar.

    CTRL +(plus)       Zoom In

    CTRL + (minus)       Zoom Out

    CTRL + mouse scroll wheel

    To change font size used in composing Hotmail email (using browser)

    1. Login to Hotmail and go to your Inbox.
    2. Click on Options then More options.
    3. Under Writing email click on Message font and signature.
    4. Select the font size, font type and formatting you want at the top of the Message font box (you can see what it will look like on the sentence beneath).
    5. Click Save.

    Hi,

    If you are referring to your Windows Live Mail and its settings when reading. Please refer to the steps below.

    1. Sign in to your Windows Live Mail account.

    2. Click on the blue tab located at the top left of the screen with arrow pointing downward.

    1. Hover your mouse to the "Option" menu and then click Mail.
    2. Click Read tab.
    3. Under "Fonts", click Fonts Button.
    4. Under the "Font size" click the down arrow and choose your preferred font.

    thanks but i got mixed up. i meant in Windows live where you read your e-mails.  sorry about the confusion.  i hope someone can help thank you.
