    Try the instructions here http://windows.microsoft.com/en-CA/windows7/Make-the-mouse-easier-to-use

Useless. These instructions do not show that colorizing the mouse is possible. The OP is looking for red, green, or yellow pointers and that cannot be done without possibly 3rd party software. Colorizing the mouse is not a Windows feature.

i think you want to change the cursor color right ?

Control Panel -> Mouse -> Pointers

Select browse and you will see lots of cursors. But you can download cursors online as well

Google windows 8 cursors or things like that and you'll definitely find what youre looking for.

for activating new cursors go to pointers again customize pointers.

    i hope this helps

this reply is to james orr

that method only changes the mousevpointer colorvto whitevor black. the person asked about changing the color to red, green, or yellow.

currently, there is not a free way as far as i know.  The onlybprogram i am aware of that changes the color of mouse pointer is Zoomtext.   windows any version  doesn't have an option to do it & there's not an alternative besides Zoomtext that i am aware of
