How will i share my internet on windows 8 laptop with another PC through wi-fi or lan cable using windows 7

    From the issue description, I see that you want to know how to share Internet connection in Windows 8.

    To share Internet connection with other computers, you may have to configure the network connection of your computer to allow the same. Follow these steps to perform the same.

    a. Right click left bottom corner of the desktop.

    b. Select Control Panel.

    c. Select Network and sharing center.

    d. Click on Set up a new connection or network.

    e. Click connect to Internet.

    f. Click Setup a new connection anyway.

    g. Choose how you want to connect.

    h. Put check mark for Allow other people to use this connection.

    i. Click connect to complete.

    Hi I read the above question and answer.

    I tried to follow up the answer but it does not work.

    Let me explain, I already have a Internet connection, it works fine. Also I am using a VPN always, works fine also.

    I just want to use my Laptop with VPN as a hotspot, so I can connect my game console to my Laptop network.

    Please assist me to setup a hotspot for Windows 8.1 Pro 64x

    Hi Geethu B,

    I can't use ICS on Windows 8/8.1. I follow your step to turn on ICS but still limited connection to other PC or smartphone. My PC (gateway) and other PC connected with router Linksys using dd-wrt firmware, with settings like this:

    If I turn on ICS on Windows 7 using router settings above, ICS working 100%.

    I'm using 3G USB stick to share my internet connection, both using 3G USB stick software or dial-up connection, ICS not working on Windows 8/8.1 but working on Windows 7.

    I try using IP & DNS manual to other PC not working too. Please help.
