How do I download registry key HKLM

My HKLM/Software key is missing

    Hi Alyce. Please do not use your full name when posting. You're asking for trouble anytime you do such in a public forum.

    By the way, your computer most likely would not boot if you were actually missing HKLM.

    You are misunderstanding whatever you have been reading.

    Registry keys are not downloaded.

    Please describe your actual problem in as much detail as you can.  See How to ask a question.   Include your version of Windows, including service pack (right click My computer and select Properties).

    The registry is personalized to every machine and cannot be downloaded.

    The only way to recover would be to restore the registry from a backup copy.  Backup copies are kept in System Restore Points.  A System Restore to an earlier date should recover your registry to the state it was in on that date.
