Samsung syncmaster sa300 monitor's recommended resolution is 1366x768 but the list of resolution is not listed when the vga cable is plugged on the right side on the CPU

my monitor samsung syncmaster sa300 recommended resolution is 1366x768 but the list of resolution  it is not listed the vga cable is plug on the right side on the CPU the lower vga adapter is broken.

what should i do?

    1.       Did you try updating video card drivers?

    Please go ahead and follow the methods mentioned and later update us on the status of the issue.

    Method 1: Try to uninstall and reinstall the video card driver from your computer in Device Manager and also from Programs and Features.

    **Step 1:**To uninstall from Device Manager, follow the steps given in the link below:

     a. Click Start.

    b. Right-Click Computer.

    c. Click Properties.

    d. Click Device Manager on the left hand side.

    e. Right-click on the video card driver.

    f. Click Uninstall.

    g. Follow the prompts to continue to uninstall the Driver.

    **Step 2:**To uninstall from the Programs and Features, follow the steps given in the link below:

    ****Uninstall or change a program

    Once uninstall restart the computer, after restarting by default the driver will install it successfully, if not try to install it from manufacturer’s website.

    If the VGA adapter is broken then I would recommend you to contact with the computer manufacturer.

    My Graphics Driver is : Intel (R) G41 Express Chipset

    Generic Non-PnP Monitor is what persistently appear.

    The Resolution available is provided by your graphics driver, update the graphics driver from the relevent maker, ie motherboard or the Card maker
