How can I remove "About blank" from my system

I am running xp professional, I have the "about blank"malware adware/virus of which I have not been successful in removing. I have tryed several programs to remove such as Mawarebytes and Spybots. This "about blank" will keep my cpu running at 70 - 100 percent when sitting idle. I believe it also to be the cause of my computor to eat up  firefox, internet explorer 8, and google chrome. also if i leave my computor on at nite I can hear it running constantly. I also have at times been unable to connect to internet via "lan" as I was either firewalled or that internet service provider did not issue an IP address!   strange???    Does anyone have a solution?

    The removal process for About:blank is well documented.

    This means that folks have purposely gotten their systems infected with the malware many times and practiced removing it until they understand the malware and how it works well enough to write a removal procedure.

    You are unlikely to fix your system by trying things (well... you might get lucky in a few days).  You can spend a lot of time messing around trying things that might work maybe sometimes or you can follow the procedure that has been proven to work many times.

    You will do better if you follow instructions written by people who have actually successfully removed the infection at least once or twice.

    If you faithfully follow the removal instructions and still have issues, the instructions don't make sense or you just can't follow the instructions, there is link in the bottom of the instructions page for additional help.

    Here is the link with the instructions:

    <Removed>

    For some reason a MS Answers Forum Moderator removed the link with instructions about how to remove the about:blank affliction - maybe they are jealous.

    Here again is the link to the instructions:

    If you have trouble with the instructions then I suggest you pursue the issue in the BleepingComputer community instead of MS Answers since obviously they have some experience dealing with it.
