    Hi W John Hughes,

You can also achieve that in Photo Gallery on Windows 8. To do this, you can follow the suggestion of Dissed to copy the photo or you may follow these steps:

    1. Open Photo Gallery.
    2. Select the photo that you want to copy or duplicate.
    3. Once it has been selected, click Home tab or press these keys ALT+H
    4. After that, copy the photo by clicking the Copy button in Home tab or by using these keys, hold CTRL and press C to copy the photo.
    5. To paste the photo click the Paste button in Home tab or using these keys, hold CTRL and press V.

Let us know the result afterwards.

    Thank you.
