The Microsoft Wireless 1000 mouse keeps shutting down.

its a microsoft wireless mouse 1000. i have replaced the batteries many times since i have had it. now it shuts off about every minute or so. 

Original title : my wireless mouse keeps shutting down at random. why? do i need a new mouse?

    1. the mouse completely shuts down and will not work on any other computer.
    2. there have been no error messages or anything to hint that there is something wrong with the mouse itself.
    3. the mouse does not work properly on the same version of windows. i have tried this and still the same result.
    4. i have made no changes to my computer that would affect the efficiency of the mouse.

    1)    By, “Shutting down at random” do you mean that mouse turns off completely or does it keep disconnecting from the computer?

    2)    Do you get any error message or error code?

    3)    Does the mouse properly on a different computer (running the same version of Windows)?

    4)    Have you made any changes on the computer prior to the issue?

    I would like more information regarding the issue.
