I just got a windows 8 pc, however, everytime I try shutting off my pc it says Prefetch form and Dummy form are preventing my pc from shutting down and then it shuts down all of a sudden. I can't find anything on my pc named Prefetch form and Dummy form. I have Norton Anti virus working and it always say it doesn't detect any threats. Anyone got an idea?

Same problem here...  Drives me crazy!  I have to shut down the computer every time or it hangs up the computer after a wake up.

    HELP!

I am having the same exact problem you are, and it is very frustrating.  Have you found a solution yet?

Yea! I found the answer! It turns out it's a poorly written Acer program called:  Acer Instant Update

Uninstall that and it should get rid of it.

really? does it really solve the problem?

are there any cons when uninstalling Acer Instant Update?

What does it do? I've trying googling it but can't find anything relevant.
