I have finally gotten my Sims 3 to work! I ended up chatting online with EA Support 3 or 4 times. Had to clean out cache's and reinstall drivers & all kinds of other stuff. I lost info a couple of times too which sucked. Anyways, it seems that all is good now. I've been able to play for hours on end. Lol! So...my suggestion to anyone having this problem in the future is to just contact EA Support. Chatting online worked best for me.
Sims 3 Freezing Up!
So...it seems I'm not the only one with this problem and I can't seem to get an answer or find where anyone else has gotten an answer. My Sims 3 Game keeps crashing. It works for about 10 minutes then freezes up on me. I have Windows 7. Not sure what the deal-io is but I am really frustrated and have been fighting this for almost 2 months now. I really want to throw something right now. Are there any fixes or am I just S.O.L.?

2013-01-12T18:25:08+00:00 Ok, so...an update. I was able to chat with an EA person. I cleared the cache's & temp files & I don't know what else. It worked perfectly for several, several hours. I even saved the game a lot and all seemed to go well. Then, I saved again and for some reason it said there was an error saving. I had to close the game and not save. Now the Sims I had spent hours on are just gone! I am so freaking frustrated with this game. I thought all was going well and now this and I'm scared to even try now. Really not happy with this game. I don't understand why there are so many issues with it.

2013-01-10T04:36:34+00:00 Actually i had the same problem with Sims 3, i gave up so many times cause of that issue and stopped working in the past after a few updates from EA which caused a major problem.
It could be the lack of CPU and Memory, do a hardware and driver updates or any hardware that is out of date. Check on the Sims forums of the Freezing and Stopped Working threads. i haven't played this game for almost 2 years cause of this problem and no fix.
I just recently upgraded my computer from Win7 32-bit to Win7-64bit which fixed a problem for Guild Wars 2, cause of CPU and low Memory Usage.
I"ll keep posted if the game runs well on 64-bit.
