My electric and a few other bills are delivered by e-mail but when I open one of them to view the contents and then print them off they are shown as "Your Services.  ASPX.  My desktop computer is on Windows 7 that has Adobe Reader XI and Acrobat Reader 5 installed but I have to go to my laptop which is XP and open the bills there then save them as open documents, transfer them to my desktop by USB key to be able to see them and then print them off.

I have searched the web for answers with no avail as to finding a programme that I can download to be able to open these files so can you help.

Web Browser is Internet Explorer and Windows 7 Home premium.

This is what happens when I have moved on from opening the e-mail and then the actual bill and moved to My Accounts which then opens a page showing the amount to be paid etc but on the right hand side are three press buttons labelled "View your bill (PDF), Pay your bill and Energy Usage".  So I use the View box and another box opens asking "What do you want with Your Services_ASPX" again with three buttons labelled Open (file will not be saved automatically) Save and Save as.  Press Open and a box comes up at the bottom for about 2 seconds with "File not saved" then press Save and it saves the file to My Dcuments as

Your Services_aspx.xqbai7c or press Save As and it then saves as Your Services_aspx.nbhfno7, press on either and it just comes up saying File could not be downloaded.

The only way I can open and save the file is to use anothers laptop which has Windows XP where it opens properly and I then transfer the open bill to my computer using a USB key where I can then print it off.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community forums.

From the issue description, I see that you are unable to open some files from email and receive error message "Your Services. ASPX".

I can imagine the inconvenience you have experienced. We are here to help and guide you in the right direction.

To provide the appropriate resolution I would need more information from your end.

    1. What is the exact and complete error message?
    2. Which web browser are you using?
    3. What is the file format of the attached document in the email?

ASPX is a file extension used for files that are of the Active Server Page Extended type. These are WebPages which are made using Active X scripting, and which are based on the Microsoft ASP.NET programming framework. These webpages are generated by Internet servers. The ASP code is created by the Internet server, and then is interpreted as HTML by the web browsing program.

I would suggest you try saving the file in Windows 7 Laptop and then try to open the file using Adobe Reader.

Please provide the necessary information to assist you further regarding the issue with opening files from email. I will be glad to help you.
