How do make MS Office 2010 available to other user accounts on the same Windows 8 pc?

The main (administrator) account has full access to MS Office 2010, but another user account in the same Windows 8 pc does not.  How can I make Office available to all accounts?

    Hi,

As slance310 said some apps offer Admin (all users) or per user installation. As far as I remember Office 2010 doesn't offer the choice and makes an All Users installation.

So, as gob0nkers suggested you should logged onto you other account(s) and:

    • Right-click somewhere (not on any tile) on the Windows 8 Start screen
    • Click All applications in the bottom panel

from there you should see your Office 2010 apps...

    • Right-click on each of them
    • Click Pin on Start screen in the bottom panel

Just verified this with my Guest account and Office 2010. Works for me.

    My 2 cents

    Cheers

    Lz.

    Hi,

Once it's installed I don't know if this can be changed without reinstalling it...

Normally when you install a program, you can do some type of Custom install, and select whether the program is accessible by the Administrator, or All Users...

You may be able to fix it by running the installer and selecting Repair, and see if you can switch it to All Users there...

Some programs may provide a method to change that in their System Settings or Preferences, but I'm not aware of any at the moment...

I don't know, but can they go enter the Store tile and right click an area above the tiles... there is a drop down box there that will show Apps installed on this computer.  I would think they can install to their account too.
