I can't open some pages that I know are not disabled, yesterday I entered bathandbodyworks.com and today I can't. It seems that I need some complements or something; I tried to open it in google chrome and in internet explorer but it happens the same thing. What can I do to fix it? I tried a lot of stuff but nothing seems to work. If the page doesn't work on chrome neither in explorer. This is so weird!!!

Please help me!!!

Thanks

    Hi,

Thank you for reaching us out on Microsoft Community Forums.

From your post it appears that you are getting DNS error when accessing few websites.

    Quick questions:

    1. What have you tried to troubleshoot the issue?
    2. What is the exact error message?

Let's try these steps and check:

    Method 1:

Clearing the DNS cache forces DNS to query a DNS server rather than using information stored in the cache.

You might want to clear the DNS cache as you're receiving repeated errors when you know that a web address you're typing is correct.

Try these steps and check for the issue:

    a. Click the Start button.

    b. In the search box, type command prompt.

    c. In the list of results, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    d. At the command prompt, type ipconfig /flushdns.

    Method 2:

Perform steps mentioned below and check if the issue persists.

    a.       Click on Start and then Control Panel.

    b.        Go to Networking and sharing center and then click on Change adapter settings.

    c.         Right click on Local Area Connection and choose properties.

    d.        Highlight Internet Protocol Version 6 and click on Properties.

    e.         Choose Obtain DNS servers address automatically and press Ok.

    f.         Choose Obtain IP address automatically.

    g.         Repeat the steps for Internet Protocol version 4 as well.

Post us the outcome of the suggested steps.

If you need any help regarding Windows let us know and we will be happy to help.

    Hi,

Does the issue occur even after performing the steps suggested in my previous post?

Ok. I have the same problem and follow the same procedures to correct the issue. My question is this...WHY does this keep happening every day ?? I have no virus.. no malware.. I have AVG internet security 2013... fully updated and have no problems.. and a clean & legal windows 7.. also fully updated. at this point..  Unless there's a problem with the soft wear (Windows 7) that came with my laptop.. I should not have an issue.
