Thank you for your response. I am using Windows 8. I have Hughes Net as my ISP provider (slow) and want to minimize any unwanted programs that would further slow my computer when on the internet. I don't do any gaming so thought if I disabled CLI that might help but I don't want to affect the functionality of my computer too much.
Catalyst Control Center Launcher(CLIStart.exe)
What is the function of the Catalyst Control Center Launcher(CLIStart.exe) Does it need to be enabled at start up? I am trying to speed up the performance of my computer.

2013-03-09T06:21:05+00:00 Hi Mark,
Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.
From your description, it appears that you want information about Catalyst Control Center Launcher and also want to know if it needs to be enabled at start up.
Which operating system are you using?
I will be glad to assist you. Catalyst Control Center Launcher is a part of ATI Catalyst Control Center and it is related to your graphics card. To change settings for your graphic card you need this application.
If you want to disable it from the start up, perform clean boot, uncheck the ATI Catalyst Control Center from start up tab.
To do this, follow steps from this link:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
NOTE: After checking the functionality in clean boot, follow the suggestions under “How to reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting with clean boot”.
For any Windows related issues please feel free to contact us and we will be glad to help.

2018-01-05T02:03:54+00:00 Why do I NEVER find a FULL or complete answer anywhere? This CONSTANT BS of using a link, to PAGE AFTER PAGE, is aggravating.
It shows an unwillingness to share the information & implies you think it's more valuable than life & should be yours alone.

2018-01-05T02:17:53+00:00 Hi Colin1936,
Did you ever get an answer?
Or figure it out by trial & error?
I'm SO fricking fed-up with the "daisy chain" & "****" of following link after link(repeatedly), only to end up back where I started or somewhere in between & without getting answers.
There should be a law against this, but it wouldn't be enforced anymore than the present laws.
