Original title: windows 7 updates

I support 16 laptops all running Windows 7 Pro.  Updates take a lot of time and bandwidth.  Is there a way to download these updates to a flashdrive then install them on the individual laptops.  These OS were purchased for a 501C3 non-profit through TechSoup and are licensed through the VLSC

    Hello Ray,

Welcome to Microsoft community where you will get best solutions for Windows related issues.

I understand that you have questions regarding installing Windows Updates. I would definitely answer those questions.

If you know the update you need, such as a service pack or security update, you can search the Microsoft website.

Most updates also have a knowledge base article (KB) that explains the update, and most updates provide instructions on how to download and install manually.

Refer to these links to know more about Windows Updates.

    Hello Ray,

Thank you for keeping us posted.

If you know the exact name for the update that you want to install, then you can type the update name in the search box from the link “http://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/default.aspx” and click on magnifier button to search.

It will display all the available updates with that particular name. If that update has a stand alone download then you will be able to download the update.

I hope this helps you to know how to search for updates. If you have any other issues with Windows in future, please do post it in Microsoft Community. we would be happy to help you.
