I really would like Microsoft Sam/Microsoft Mike on Windows 7 but apparently you need XP to get it. If you could give me a download link to either, maybe both, that would be awesome!

(NOTE) Please don't give me a Windows XP system thingy to install on my computer.

Here's the link to Microsoft Sam, Microsoft Mike, and Microsoft Mary: http://www.mediafire.com/download/a0101qh32xghyrc/XP-Voices.zip

Afterwards, you'll have to perform a few steps:

Step 1a: If your computer is 64 bit, run both the x64 and x86 .bat files under Administrator.

Step 1b: If your computer is 32 bit, just run the x86 .bat file under Administrator.

Step 2: Only do this step and Step 3 if you've done Step 1a. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SpeechEngines\Microsoft\TTS\1033 and copy four files: Mary.sdf Mary.spd Mike.sdf Mary.spd

Step 3: Go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\SpeechEngines\Microsoft\TTS\1033 and Paste the four files you copied.

If you run into trouble with Permissions, you'll have to change some Permission Settings first.

    Hi,

Thank you for choosing Microsoft Community!

Based on your description, I understand that you want Microsoft Sam/Microsoft Mike voice on Windows 7.

Microsoft Sam has been replaced with Microsoft Anna in Windows 7. There is no way to download Microsoft Sam on Windows 7. However you can use Windows XP Mode as Microsoft Sam is the default voice selection in Windows XP. Windows XP Mode comes as a separate download and works only with Windows 7 Professional, Ultimate, and Enterprise.

    a.    To download and install Windows XP Mode on Windows 7, try these steps.

    b.    Click Windows XP Mode and click Download button and save it on the desktop.

    c.    Open the downloaded file and install it.

    d.    Restart the computer for the changes to take effect.

    e.    Click Start, click All Programs, and click Microsoft Windows XP Mode to launch it.

Hope this helps. If you have any Windows related queries please get back to us. We are happy to help you.
