    Hi Muhammad,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forum!

Based on the issue description, it appears that you are getting an error “LMS Service cannot connect to Intel(R) MEI driver”

To help you suggest more steps to resolve the issue, I would appreciate it if you could answer the following questions:

    1.      When do you get this error message?

    2.      Were there any recent changes made on the computer prior to the issue?

I will certainly help you out with this issue.

Here are few steps that you may try in order to fix the issue.

**Method 1:**Both Local Manageability Service (LMS) service and Host Embedded Controller Interface (HECI) driver are from Intel.

For more information, please refer to the following link:

    http://software.intel.com/en-us/blogs/2007/01/24/let-us-talk-about-heci-and-lms/

I would suggest you uninstall and reinstall the latest version of Intel chipset drivers and Intel Matrix Storage Manager from the Manufacturer.

You may run Intel Driver Update Utility and check.

    Method 2:

If the utility did not find the drivers, please try to download the drivers manually from the following link:

    http://downloadcenter.intel.com/default.aspx

**Important:**Using Third Party Software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the use of Third Party Software can be solved. Using Third Party Software is at your own risk.

If the issue persists or you have further questions on Windows, please do not hesitate to let us know. We will be glad to assist you.
