Original Title: Touchpad on ASUS

The touchpad on my ASUS laptop is not working properly.  For a few weeks I could zoom in, swipe on it, etc.  Then somehow, it is not doing that anymore.  I can still use the touchpad to move the pointer around like a mouse, but no longer have the gesture functions. I have tried looking in the control panel, mouse but cant find anything pertaining to the touch pad.  Please help!

Srimadhwa - thanks for your reply.  I've found that when I try searching for the program, the computer can't find it anywhere (although when I tried to download a new copy from ASUS, I was told that I should uninstall the old version first).

In the end I struck lucky by going to Control Panel > Uninstall, where I found the Smart Gesture program listed (it was listed NOWHERE ELSE on the control panel).  Instead of uninstalling, I clicked 'repair', which then told me to restart.  It seems to have worked, though of course I don't know if it'll last.  Looking around the internet, it seems that HappyVeg and I aren't the only people to have had this problem, but it's good that we can fix it!

I have the same issue with my Asus ux305FA model. Even after trying out the above solution, it doesn't help.

    Hi

This problem can be repair with tis method :

    1- Run Control Panel

    2- Go to Mouse

3- Go to Hardware TAB and select PROPERTIES

    4- Go to Driver

    5- Select Roll Back Driver

    6- Restart and enjoy

Note: this method test on Asus N56JR already have windows 8.1 and upgrade to Windows 10.

I've tried all of these things, and none of them work. I tried the Rollback Driver option, but it's gray and won't let me select.

I have Windows 10, so I'm not sure if that's caused an issue.

I can no longer select anything by tapping the touchpad. I have to actually "click", and that wears me out. I'm a writer and have to do a lot of research and clicking around. Also, when I try to right-click, it selects as if I am left-clicking, unless I hit it at precisely the right spot. It takes several tries to get it to right-click.

I would love to take it back to the store where I purchased it (I've owned it less than a year), but I'm betting the guy will have to keep it several days, and with the kinds of deadlines I've got going on right now, I just can't do that.

    Any other suggestions?

    IT WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORKED!!!!!!!!

I didn't realize I needed to click "change settings" first before clicking the Driver Tab and Roll Back Driver.

So I did that - and it woooooooooorked!!!!!!!

Thank you thank you thank you thank you
