Loaded the newest IntelliPoint software, although it does not call itself that(!). Horizontal scroll works when using the Synaptics Touch Pad.

When I turn on any other functions in the IntelliPoint the vertical scroll is disabled.

Step one did not find any issues.

When booting in Safe Mode Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are disabled, so nothing worked anyway.

When I looking through the services listed in MSCONFIG I did note that the "Bluetooth Support Service - Microsoft Corp" is STOPPED, however "TOSHIBA Bluetooth Service" is RUNNING.

    Could this be the issue?

Thanks for the reply, but I am afraid none of your advice was useful. I have the latest drivers and Intellipoint software as I stated initially. I have just rechecked the version numbers for both and they are the newest.

Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center - Version 2.1.177

Microsoft Sculpt Touch Mouse (Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center)

    Driver Date: 9/01/2013

    Driver Version: 9.3.166.0

When I open "Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center"(MMKC), which is what is available for download re your Method 1 and 2 links for "Sculpt Touch Mouse", the Vertical Scrolling is turned OFF. If I turn ON Vertical Scrolling and Horizontal Scrolling neither Vertical or Horizontal Scrolling works. If I then turn ON only Vertical Scrolling, Vertical Scrolling works. Close the "Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center" then re-open Vertical Scrolling is shown as turned OFF.

If I turn ON only Horizontal Scrolling then Horizontal Scrolling works, but not Vertical Scrolling. Re-open MMKC and all items are once more shown as being OFF.
