Error message:The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

    Hardware IDs: ACPI\VEN_SNY&DEV_5001

Your methods sux, absolutely Microsoft methods sux, what do you and MS think, we are in 2014, you and MS try always to push craps to the people.

All days MS solution is : Run Troubleshot

The troubleshot may help people lest that 1% [Just for noobs]

Try to write a solution engineer :))

    And now the solution:

That error indicate of missing SFEP "sony firmware extension parser device"

search SFEP in DriverCOllection, Download zip file, extract it, and then install it by right clicking on *.ini and choose install.

    TRY TO RESPECT PEOPLE ....

    Hi Wagdy,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

It seems that you are facing issues with the device drivers on the computer. It would be great if you can answer the following questions:

    1.    Were there any changes made on the computer prior to the issue?

    2.    What is the make and model of the computer?

    3.    What is the complete and exact error message?

    Method 1:

First, I would suggest you to follow these steps and run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter:

    a. Open Control panel.

    b. Click on Troubleshooting.

    c. Click View all on the left pane of the screen.

    d. In the list of options, click on Hardware and Devices.

    e. Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions.

    Method 2:

You may follow these steps to update the driver of the device and check if it helps:

    a.     Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search.

(If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and then click Search.)

    b.    Enter “Device manger” without quotes in the search box, tap or click Settings.

    c.     Tap on Device manager.

    d.    Press and hold on the device****and tap on Update driver software.

You may also try to download the drivers from manufacturer’s website and install it.

Hope this helps. If you have any further issues on the computer, please post your question regarding Windows and we will be happy to help you.

I have this problem as well for my Vaio VPCSA2C5E. SOE support won't help ,me because I did a clean Win 8 install. My WAN card/simcard reader is not working though, so maybe it refers to this device.
